Classic & Glamorous Blush Wedding at The Rogers-Green House

BAILEE + DEXTER | LAUREL, MS

Bailee’s vision for her wedding celebration was so clear from the very beginning! She knew she wanted a custom made gown, for the event to be held in her hometown at the historical Rogers-Green House, and for the day to display the love her and Dexter share for each other and their families. The bride and groom tied the knot in an intimate ceremony on October 12, 2018 and chose to wait until April 20th to host their celebration so that all of their families could be present to celebrate with them. The setting couldn’t have been more perfect. The Rogers-Green House is a stately home built in 1903 and is constructed of redwood in the Prairie Style of architecture. The house is nearly 7,000 square feet and hosts a lovely garden area and terrace, and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It is a staple in the Laurel Historic District. Complete with Tiffany light fixtures and extensive leaded glass windows, it was the ideal place for Bailee’s vision to come true.

The bride chose blush as her statement color and each detail of the day featured the pink hue. All of the details were kept super close to home. The bride wore earrings and a bracelet belonging to her mother and grandmother and the letterpress invitations were designed by her dear brother, Will. In her hair, the bride wore babies breath and around her neck was the necklace given to her as her “something new”. Bailee designed her wedding gown and it was stunning! The gown, created by Anomalie, had scalloped lace sleeves as well as scalloping on the back and neckline. The blush underlay was specifically chosen as a compliment to the day, and the chapel style scalloped train had a light and airy feel. At the waist, a thin blush sash tied into a bow in the back of the dress. Designed by Holly’s Flower Shop, the florals were a mix of roses, peonies, babies breath, garden roses, and eucalyptus. The grooms grandmothers handmade the over 100 linen napkins that accompanied the place settings. Every little detail the bride and groom included in their day had a personal touch from someone they love dearly.

The couple entered the celebration with their children, Isley and Paxton, and were greeted with cheers from their dearest friends and family. After their first dance, the bride and groom enjoyed a delicious dinner catered by Tabella Italian Restaurant and then snacked on cupcakes by The Bake Shop for dessert. Bailee and Dexter spent the rest of the celebration dancing the night away under the stars with their family and friends. It was truly a one of a kind event, and I’m so thankful to have been part of it!

Bailee and Dexter - I will always cherish the day I spent with you guys! It was the kind of event that my dreams are made of, and I am so honored that you chose me to be capture it for you. Thank you for letting me be part of such an amazing time in your lives. I hope you enjoy looking back on your wedding day as much as I loved being part of it! Big hugs and all my love, Shea

Rustic Engagement Session at Rasberry Greene

When Marley and Cameron met as students at The University of Southern Mississippi, they instantly connected! These two light up a room just by being in it. When Cameron planned the perfect proposal, he really went all out! He made a video documenting it all - buying the ring, why he wanted to marry Marley, and the actual proposal on the campus of their beloved Southern Miss. As he got down on one knee in front of Kennard Washington Hall with the Dome as the backdrop, he plucked the ring from the middle of roses made into the shape of a heart and asked his best girl to spend forever with him. An e-sesh at Rasberry Greene was just what the two wanted from the start with its rustic setting and jaw dropping pines.

We had so much fun covering the grounds at Rasberry Greene! This gorgeous venue and its kind hearted owners are too perfect for words. It is a historic wedding and event venue located in the heart of Soso, Mississippi. The Gin features a wrap-around porch with views of a beautiful tree lined lake. The setting was magical and so were Marley and Cameron. As the two walked along hand in hand, I couldn’t help but think about how they’d grown as a couple over the years. They are, truly, a perfect match!

Marley and Cameron, I can’t thank you enough for letting me be part of this incredible time in your lives! It has been such a blessing to know the both of you, and to be by your sides as you become husband and wife is truly an honor. I can’t wait for wedding day with you guys at Dogwood! It’s going to be the BEST day!! I hope you love this little look back at your engagement session! Big hugs and all of my love, Shea
