ANNA + ADAM | PETAL & HATTIESBURG, MS
Adam and Anna met in a sweet little country town a few years ago, and their love would be one that would spread across the globe unbeknownst to them. With 4 tours of duty in Iraq and Afghanistan, Adam is, truly, Anna’s hero. A proposal made in fairy tale heaven set these two on their journey to becoming husband and wife. When Anna shared with me that he proposed in San Francisco on a catamaran with the Golden Gate Bridge as their backdrop, I melted into a puddle! I knew theirs would be a story that I couldn’t wait to share. This couple makes the most excellent team. They share a deep passion for sports, fitness, and the good ole U.S.A. The bride and groom knew that they wanted to incorporate all of these things into their day, and built a theme around what they love most. We started out the day at Petal Harvey Baptist Church where the girls and the guys were getting ready. Heavy showers were predicted for the entire day, but that didn’t bother Anna and Adam a bit! Anna was so excited because she’d found the most adorable umbrella and couldn’t wait to use it for pictures in the rain. I just love it when my couples aren’t afraid to get a little wet to get what I think are super cute pictures in the rain! The bride was so positive and upbeat all day. If anyone thought a little rain was going to dampen the spirits of this powerhouse couple, then they were wrong!
With Adam’s father presiding over their nuptials, the couples ceremony was extremely intimate and personal. There was hardly a dry eye to be found in the church. A confetti of birdseed and a classic 1948 Packard belonging to the brides great grandfather awaited the couple once the ceremony was over. We then went to The Doubletree by Hilton for the reception where the bride and groom enjoyed a night of drinks, dinner and dancing with their favorite people. I’ve always been told that rain on your wedding day is good luck. There isn’t a single doubt in my mind that Anna and Adam will have a VERY blessed, very full life together with many years of happiness and blessings from above. Anna and Adam - I feel so lucky to be able to call the two of you friends! You guys inspire me, and I’m so thrilled about the exciting things you have going on right now in your lives. Thank you for letting me be part of such a special time for the two of you. It’s truly been an honor. I can’t wait to see you soon! Big hugs and all my love, Shea
