Sweet little Hank Joseph Clark came into the world as pure perfection on Wednesday, November 14th weighing 6 pounds and 3 ounces. He was 19.25 inches long and already loved more than he could ever imagine. With momma, daddy, and big brother, Will, to welcome him home, Hank made the Clarks a precious family of four. I was completely wrapped around his tiny little finger from the moment I met him. All ease and quiet countenance, he made my job a total breeze. His amazing mother welcomed me into their home and dreamily gazed on as I captured those fleeting moments in time when Hank was but a few days old. Newborns are so pure and their uniqueness as new additions to this world is something that’s never lost on me. It’s so therapeutic watching each tiny breath they take, or watching their lips pucker as they dream. The stillness is profound. It’s so easy to get lost in a newborn shoot because it’s literally something I could do all day!
For the lifestyle portion of Hank’s newborn session, big brother, Will, and dad, David, joined us. Will had to show me dad’s boat, the backyard, and his choo choo train, and then I learned what kind of magic a lighter holds for a toddler. BEST. TRICK. EVER. for getting Will to smile! We played, and we laughed, and all the while I had the opportunity to observe two incredible folks absolutely ROCKING it at parenting! I was in awe of how perfectly paired Melissa and David are, and just how incredible they are at team work. Again, this crew made my job a total breeze!
Melissa and David, I’m so honored to have been part of these incredibly special days in your lives! Your boys are so lucky to have you guys as their parents! Keep slaying at being mom and dad, and know that I feel so blessed to know the Clark family! I hope you love these images from your sessions as much as I do! Big hugs, Shea
